Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Ireland to accelerate consulting transformation through AI and technology. You will partner with business, product, AI, data, and engineering leaders to establish unified technology for the future of Consulting and design a scalable AI Platform to increase productivity across the organization.

The role will drive agent orchestration, knowledgebase capabilities, and reusable AI best practices while aligning with Mastercard standards for

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of full-stack engineering in an agile production environment.
Experience executing a technology strategy for a market-facing business with Product, Data Science, and business leaders.
Strong understanding of GenAI, agentic workflows, AI enablement, orchestration patterns, and applied AI delivery.
Experience scaling productivity capabilities across a large team with AI platforms.
Strong OO design and reusable, scalable components.
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake).

Responsibilities

Design and build a scalable, reusable AI Platform for the program.
Drive AI enablement across the wider group.
Lead technical design and architecture for scalability, security, and performance.
Guide migration toward future state architecture and implement strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI solutions.
