Job summary

Raretec Recruitment is seeking a Pricing Actuary to join a leading global reinsurer in Dublin, working on Life and Health pricing and engaging with senior stakeholders. This is a high-impact role at the heart of new business acquisition.

The ideal candidate is a qualified actuary with 2–5 years post-qualification experience in Life or Reinsurance pricing, with international regulatory exposure and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Actuary with 2–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Life/Reinsurance pricing or structuring experience.
• International regulatory exposure across regimes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new business opportunities.
• Set and review pricing assumptions and design bespoke reinsurance solutions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships through acquisition and onboarding.
• Understand regulatory, accounting and economic impacts of transactions.
• Draft and review treaty wordings and transaction summaries.
• Present pricing developments to senior leadership.
• Contribute to strategy and client development across Europe.
• Monitor Solvency II and IFRS 17 impacts.

Our client, a leading global reinsurer are seeking a Pricing Actuary to join their Life and Health team in Dublin, reporting to the Head of Pricing.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of the organisation's new business acquisition, offering excellent exposure to global pricing, regulatory engagement, and senior stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new business opportunities
• Set and review pricing assumptions and design bespoke reinsurance solutions
• Manage stakeholder relationships through successful acquisition and onboarding
• Understand the regulatory, accounting and economic impacts of prospective transactions
• Draft and review treaty wordings and transaction summary documentation
• Present pricing developments and complex reinsurance solutions to senior leadership
• Contribute to strategy, client development across Europe, and Group workshops/conferences
• Monitor the regulatory environment (Solvency II/IFRS 17) and its impact on the business

Requirements

• Qualified actuary with 2-5 years post qualification experience
• Life / Reinsurance experience, particularly in a pricing or structuring role
• International experience across regulatory regimes, geographies and product designs beneficial.
• Strong analytical capability, strategic mindset, and confident independent thinker
• Excellent communicator, collaborative team player, adaptable under pressure
