Job summary

The Actuary represents a leading global reinsurer seeking a Pricing Actuary to join its Life and Health team in Dublin. The role offers high impact exposure to global pricing, regulatory engagement, and senior stakeholder management.

Reporting to the Head of Pricing (L&H), the successful candidate will evaluate new business opportunities, set pricing assumptions, draft treaty wordings, and present pricing solutions to senior leadership while navigating Solvency II and IFRS 17 considerations.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with 2+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in life reinsurance pricing or structuring is preferred.
• International regulatory experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new business opportunities from the L&H network.
• Set and review pricing assumptions and design reinsurance pricing.
• Manage stakeholder relationships through acquisition and onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new business opportunities from within the worldwide L&H network
• Set and review pricing assumptions and design bespoke reinsurance solutions
• Manage stakeholder relationships through successful acquisition and onboarding
• Understand the regulatory, accounting and economic impacts of prospective transactions
• Draft and review treaty wordings and transaction summary documentation
• Present pricing developments and complex reinsurance solutions to senior leadership
• Contribute to L&H strategy, client development across Europe, and Group workshops/conferences
• Monitor the regulatory environment (Solvency II/IFRS 17) and its impact on the business

Requirements

• Qualified actuary with 2+ years post qualification experience
• Life reinsurance experience favourable, particularly in a pricing or structuring role
• International experience across regulatory regimes, geographies and product designs beneficial
• Advanced knowledge of European solvency and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical capability, strategic mindset, and confident independent thinker
• Excellent communicator, collaborative team player, adaptable under pressure
