Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1/Social Care Manager 1 for its Portlaoise pre-school service in Co. Laois.

This permanent part-time fixed-term role (approximately 60 hours per fortnight) requires four-plus years post-qualification experience, leadership capability and a background in early years settings. Applicants should hold a nursing or social care qualification, CORU/NMBI registration or be in process, a valid driving licence, and a commitment to child-centred

Qualifications

• Relevant Nursing / Social Care Qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years experience post qualification.
• Have a knowledge of the Early Year’s Regulations for pre-schools.
• Experience in supporting children with additional support needs.
• Experience in and commitment to developing supports that are child/person centred.
• A proven ability to lead and support teams.
• Management experience.
• Commitment to develop professional knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
• Experience of working with children with a range of support needs to include behaviours of concern.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Full current driving licence.
• An ability to demonstrate flexibility.
• Experience working in a pre-school setting.
• A relevant childcare qualification for the role [as per DYCA guidelines on qualifications].
• Have successfully completed a relevant management course or commitment to do so within a specific timeframe.
