Job summary

Aldar Tissues in Rathcoole, Dublin, is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently in line with production needs.

You will set up equipment, monitor performance, perform quality checks, and ensure materials are loaded correctly to minimise waste. The role requires teamwork and adherence to health and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of operating industrial production machinery.
• Understanding of basic machine settings and changeover procedures.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety requirements.
• Experience meeting production targets while minimising waste.
• Experience working as part of a fast-paced production team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently in line with production requirements.
• Set up and adjust machinery for different products, including assisting with machine changeovers.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain consistent production and minimise downtime.
• Carry out regular quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards and specifications.
• Ensure raw materials are correctly loaded and monitor material usage to minimise waste.
• Identify and report machine faults, breakdowns, quality issues, and other production problems promptly.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance as required.
• Complete production records, quality checks, and other relevant documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised production area and follow all housekeeping standards.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and safe operation of machinery.
• Work effectively with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Management to maintain smooth and efficient production.
• Meet agreed production targets and carry out any other reasonable duties required by management.
