Avolon seeks a VP Technical – Powerplant Transaction Management to own all customer-related powerplant activities in the assigned region, pairing deep engine knowledge with commercial acumen.

You will lead LOI and lease negotiations, coordinate engine repossessions and transitions, and work closely with airlines, MROs and OEM counterparts to optimize engine shop visits and maximize value. Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or five years relevant powerplant experience.
• Business degree or five years relevant commercial experience.
• Strong aircraft/engine leasing experience, from lessee and lessor perspectives.
• Experience with Airlines and their senior management in a technical or commercial capacity.
• Strong people, organisational and project management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead/participate in negotiation of LOIs and leases for powerplant topics including OEM offerings, maintenance reserves and end of lease terms.
• Represent powerplant aspects of repossessions and transitions between lessees including engine-related buyouts and extension terms.
• Collaborate with airlines to optimise engine shop visits and reduce costs through alternatives like engine exchange.
• Lead engine leasing deal teams to minimise downtime and maximise lease revenues.
• Develop relationships with airlines, MROs and OEMs to position Avolon as a powerplant solutions leader.
• Maintain dashboard of open technical items and feed forecasting with insights on major activities affecting net income.
• Identify opportunities to sell/lease/exchange engines for non-Avolon managed aircraft; participate in RFPs.
• Support deal-teams on technical elements of acquisitions.
