Job summary

emagine is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer with strong Azure Logic Apps capability to design, build, test, deploy and support secure, scalable business applications and integrations across Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse and related Azure services.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience developing Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer with strong Azure Logic Apps capability to design, build, test, deploy and support secure, scalable business applications and integrations. The role will deliver solutions across Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse and relevant Azure services, working closely with business teams, technical teams and stakeholders.

Role Focus

This is a hands-on development role focused on creating and enhancing Power Apps, Power Automate cloud flows and Azure Logic Apps. The developer will translate requirements into working solutions, contribute to technical design decisions and support delivery through the full application lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate current knowledge of Power Platform and Azure integration capabilities and apply appropriate security, performance, error-handling, testing, deployment and support practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure and maintain Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
• Build and support Power Automate cloud flows and Azure Logic Apps for business process automation and system integration.
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical designs and working solutions.
• Configure Dataverse tables, relationships, forms, views, business rules, security roles and business process flows.
• Develop integrations using standard and premium connectors, custom connectors, REST APIs, webhooks and Azure services.
• Implement robust exception handling, retry policies, logging, monitoring and alerting.
• Write reusable, maintainable and documented solutions that follow agreed development standards.
• Perform unit testing, support system and user acceptance testing, resolve defects and provide production support.
• Package and deploy solutions through controlled ALM and CI/CD processes across development, test and production environments.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, testers, administrators, security teams and business stakeholders.
• Review and improve existing solutions, addressing performance, security, technical debt and unsupported components.

Required Skills And Experience

• Strong hands-on experience developing Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps, including PowerFX, JavaScript/TypeScript, forms, views, component reuse, responsive design, accessibility, delegation, validation and error handling.
• Strong experience building Power Automate cloud flows and Azure Logic Apps, including triggers, actions, expressions, variables, loops, conditions, parallel branches, child workflows and reusable integration patterns.
• Practical knowledge of trigger conditions, concurrency, pagination, retry policies, scopes, run-after configuration, exception handling, secure connection management, performance and service protection limits.
• Strong experience with Dataverse data modelling, tables, relationships, choices, calculated and rollup columns, auditing and security.
• Experience with SharePoint, Power Pages, Power BI, business process flows, standard and premium connectors and data integration patterns.
• Ability to integrate solutions through REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, and custom connectors.
• Working knowledge of Azure services commonly used with Power Platform and Logic Apps, including Azure Functions, Key Vault, API Management, Storage and Application Insights.
• Understanding of Power Platform environments, Dataverse security roles and teams, Microsoft Entra ID groups, service principals, managed identities, connection references and data loss prevention policies.
• Hands-on experience with solutions, environment variables, connection references, managed solutions, source control with GIT and deployment pipelines using Power Platform Pipelines or Azure DevOps.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving application, flow, integration and deployment issues using run history, monitoring, telemetry and platform administration tools.
• At least three years of substantial hands-on experience delivering Power Platform solutions, including production support and integration development in complex environments.

Nice to Have

• Microsoft certification such as Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204).
• Experience with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Power Pages, on-premises data gateway and enterprise integration patterns.
• Knowledge of automated testing, solution checking, code reviews and DevOps quality gates.
• Exposure to custom connectors, Dataverse plug-ins, PCF controls, C# and Azure Functions is desirable.

Qualifications

• Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) is desirable; Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200) or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) would be advantageous.
