Job summary

Statkraft in Cork, Ireland, seeks a Technical Report Writer for an 18-month fixed-term contract to develop and maintain the reporting framework for operational and commercial management of renewable assets. The role focuses on Power BI dashboards, asset performance, and customer reporting across wind, solar and storage fleets.

You will lead data integration from SCADA and other systems, deliver timely reporting packages and support senior leadership with data-driven insights and governance

Qualifications

• BEng or a BSc in data science/data analytics/energy/environmental science.
• Strong experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience managing large datasets and multiple reporting streams simultaneously.
• Experience in renewable energy, utilities or other asset-intensive industries.
• Experience with SCADA systems and operational databases.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python or other data analytics tools.
• Experience supporting customer reporting under commercial service agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions for Operations, Asset Management and Senior Leadership teams.
• Design and deliver automated reporting, data models, KPIs and visualisations that provide clear insight into operational, commercial and HSE performance.
• Integrate and manage data from multiple sources, including SCADA, maintenance management systems, financial systems and operational databases.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages for internal stakeholders and third-party Asset Management customers.
• Develop customer-specific reporting dashboards, templates and performance commentary in line with contractual reporting requirements.
• Monitor, analyse and report on portfolio performance, identifying trends, performance deviations, risks and opportunities across renewable generation and storage assets.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and governance standards are maintained, investigating and resolving reporting anomalies where required.
• Support business reviews, customer meetings, investor reporting and board reporting through the preparation of presentations and reporting materials.
• Drive digitalisation, process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Provide Power BI training, user support and ad hoc analysis to enable effective data-driven decision-making across the business.
