Job Introduction: Full time, 40 hours per week, 8:00am - 4:00pm, €13.50 per hour, Opportunities for career development, Plus our Sodexo employee benefits package. Porter Dublin 1- Full time. This role is perfect for anyone working in Conference and Banqueting (C&B) and who wants to move to a role that is Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily portering duties such as moving furniture, equipment, and supplies between locations.
  • Follow assigned rotas and complete manual handling tasks as directed.
  • Set up rooms for meetings or events (e.g., tables, chairs, AV equipment).
  • Assist with deliveries, stock movements, and general logistics across the site or its locations.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to your Supervisor.
  • Use manual handling techniques and equipment safely, following training and site procedures.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Support other departments within Sodexo when needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Be punctual, reliable, and professional in appearance and behaviour.
  • Carry out any reasonable duties requested by the Supervisor or Site Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous portering, facilities, or manual handling experience preferred, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety and manual handling principles (training provided).
  • Physical fitness and ability to move heavy items safely and efficiently.
  • Good communication, timekeeping, and a helpful attitude.
  • Flexible, respectful, and a strong team player.
  • Experience in corporate, healthcare, or hospitality settings is a plus.
