We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Playgroup Leader to deliver and facilitate play opportunities for children in a safe and stimulating environment. The role involves supporting pre‑school children in both structured and informal settings, promoting independence, confidence and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children’s games and encourage the development of physical, social and language skills;
• Provide play areas and prepare materials for a wide range of children’s activities;
• Encourage children’s independence, self‑confidence and social interaction;
• Organise and supervise children on excursions;
• Organise and supervise activities in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, responding appropriately to injuries and emergencies;
• Put away equipment and clean premises after use;
• Liaise with parents, carers and colleagues, maintaining appropriate records.

Requirements

• 1–2 years’ experience in early childhood education or recreation roles is desirable;
• Strong leadership and organisational skills in managing groups of children;
• Passion for working with children, excellent communication and a positive attitude.

Compensation and Schedule
