Isla Health is seeking a Platform Engineering Lead to own the backend architecture and cloud scalability of our Digital Pathway Platform. You will be the technical authority for the backend team, guiding 3–5 senior/mid engineers and partnering with the CTO and Director of Engineering.

Remote-first in Ireland, with equity options, pension contributions, and a focus on 100% YoY growth. You’ll drive IaC, CI/CD, security practices, and deep integrations with partner APIs to enable scalable

Competenze

• Experience leading backend teams in a scale-up or startup.
• Deep hands-on Node.js and TypeScript development with cloud infrastructure (GCP).
• Proven ability to design and operate IaC, CI/CD, and security practices.

Mansioni

• Own the platform and infrastructure: architecture, security and stability of the GCP platform.
• Lead the backend team (3-5 engineers) and foster engineering excellence.
• Drive cost optimization and scalable resource management.
• Architect integrations with external partner APIs and auth patterns.
• Collaborate with CTO/Director of Engineering on technical strategy.
• Embed operational excellence with IaC and CI/CD, security readiness.
• Lead AI workflows across the team.
