Medtronic in Galway is seeking a Platform Engineer within the Patient Care Systems (PCS) team to develop and operate the software ecosystem supporting implantable cardiac devices. You will collaborate across cloud, automation, and platform services to enable secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Exposure to programming, scripting, automation, cloud technologies, or data systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, deployment, operation and support of shared engineering platforms and services.
• Build reusable automation, tools, documentation and runbooks to improve developer productivity.
• Support software delivery, infrastructure, data, security and engineering enablement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities to improve systems, services and workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, security specialists, data professionals and infrastructure teams.
