Overview

Platform Engineer (AWS) to join a US multinational firm based in South Dublin on a daily rate contract. This is a hybrid role. You’ll play a key role in shaping our cloud strategy, driving automation, and ensuring high performance, availability, and security for business-critical applications.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure to support critical platforms.
• Automate deployments, monitoring, and compliance using Infrastructure as Code.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to deliver well-architected solutions.
• Champion DevSecOps practices and embed security across the platform lifecycle.
• Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and bring forward new ideas and improvements.

Responsibilities

• 7+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or software engineering with at least 3+ years of direct AWS experience.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, IAM, and governance.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
• Bonus points for experience in financial services, multi-account AWS setups, or contributions to open-source projects.
