Stericycle in Dublin is hiring a Plant Operative to manage receipt, storage and transfer of waste in a compliant facility. The role covers all areas of the site with a focus on safety, paperwork accuracy and adherence to SOPs.

You will be part of a tight-knit team, with Monday–Friday hours (5X8) on rotating shifts, and occasional Saturday work based on business needs. Uniforms, PPE and safety boots are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires manual handling training.
• Forklift training preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work without supervision and manage time effectively.

Responsabilités

• Receive, manage and transfer out all waste within the facility.
• Complete paperwork in line with company procedures and legislation.
• Work across all areas of the facility.
• Maintain and service clinical waste bins and ensure proper segregation on arrival and dispatch.
• Operate waste tracking systems and load bulk waste trailers as needed.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory standards are met.

Position Purpose:

Daily uniforms, PPE, and working boots are provided free of charge by the company.

• Work schedule is Monday ~ Friday (5X8) with rotating shift :
  • Week 1 starts at 8:00AM
  • Week 2 starts at 10:30AM and returns back to Week 1.
  • From time-to-time, plant operators will be asked to work a Saturday based on business needs.

The work location is Unit 1A, Allied Industrial Estate, Inchicore, Dublin, D10 F780. Ireland

The Plant Operative is responsible for the receipt, management, and transfer out of all waste in compliance with licence conditions and company procedures.

Key Job Activities:

To receive, manage and transfer out all waste within the facility.

Ensure all paperwork is completed in line with Company procedure and legislation

To work in all areas of the facility.

To ensure bins are clean and serviceable and carry out maintenance of clinical waste bins

To ensure waste is properly segregated on arrival and dispatch to and from the facility

To load bulk waste trailers to meet the needs of the facility

To load and unload waste into bins and containers to meet the needs of the facility

Use and operate the waste tracking systems that are used by the company

To ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained.

To maintain a safe working environment.

To work alongside outlined Standard Operational Procedures.

To observe Health & Safety Regulations, other relevant legislation and safe working practices.

To report equipment faults and defects of any nature to the site management and rectify where possible.

All other duties deemed reasonable to carry out duties with the job role.

Education:

Experience:

• Preferred Experience: Basic knowledge of plant / warehouse operations.
• Required: Manual handling training, trained in handling chemical waste.
• Preferred: Forklift training.
• Physically fit.
• Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to manage time and complete multi tasks in line with timescales.
• Self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic.
• Team player.
• Able to work effectively under pressure.
• Forklift certificate and warehouse experience would be advantageous.
