Job summary

Kanadevia Inova is seeking an O&M Shift Operations Technician to support the safe, efficient operation of our Dublin Energy-from-Waste facility. You will operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain plant systems, ensuring compliance with HSEQ and statutory requirements.

The role reports to the Shift Team Leader and requires at least two years of relevant industrial experience, strong teamwork, and proficient IT/CMMS skills. A bonus program and pension are part of the package.

Qualifications

• A-Level qualification or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
• Two years' experience in power generation, energy, or waste-to-energy environments.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards and safe operating practices.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, inspect, and control plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Carry out routine plant inspections and address deviations with corrective actions.
• Support first-line maintenance, fault diagnosis, and documentation.
• Uphold safe systems of work and HSEQ culture in daily operations.
• Assist with operational reporting, outages, and reliability improvements.

Kanadevia Inova is seeking an O&M Shift Operations Technician to support the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of our Dublin Energy-from-Waste facility. Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain plant systems and equipment, respond to operational issues, and help maximise plant performance, reliability, and safety while ensuring compliance with HSEQ and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, inspect, and control plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant facility operation.
• Carry out routine plant inspections, identify abnormalities, defects, or process deviations, and take appropriate corrective actions while escalating issues where required.
• Support first-line maintenance activities, fault diagnosis, reporting, and completion of operational and maintenance documentation.
• Apply and uphold safe systems of work, company safety procedures, permits-to-work, and operational standards while maintaining a strong HSEQ culture.
• Assist with operational reporting, investigations, outage preparation, procedure reviews, and other activities required to support plant performance, availability, and reliability.

• A-Level qualification or equivalent in English and Mathematics; relevant technical qualifications, apprenticeships, or NVQ certifications are advantageous.
• Minimum of two years' experience within the power generation, energy, process, utilities, waste-to-energy, or a similar industrial environment.
• Good understanding of HSE standards, safe systems of work, and the requirements associated with operating industrial process plant safely and efficiently.
• Practical knowledge of plant operations, process equipment, fault finding, and basic maintenance activities within a continuous operational environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, IT literacy including Microsoft Office applications and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS), and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
