Job summary

Dexcom Ireland, based in Galway, seeks a Planning Manager to lead the Planning team at the Athenry site, ensuring plans align with demand, capacity and inventory against business goals and new product launches.

You will own the MPS process, partner across functions, drive planning maturity, manage risks, and deliver reliable schedules for CGM devices.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline with 8‑12 years of industry experience.
• 2‑5 years of previous management or lead experience
• Experience managing planning functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.
• Strong understanding of Master Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, S&OP, Inventory Management and Demand & Supply Planning
• Advanced analytical and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Planning team to support current operations and future site growth.
• Own and govern the site Master Production Schedule (MPS) process.
• Ensure alignment between forecasted demand, supply capability, manufacturing capacity and inventory strategies.
• Lead development, consolidation, communication and execution of production and supply plans.

• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Global Supply Chain teams.
• Establish finite and rough‑cut capacity planning processes to support decision making.
• Drive planning maturity and adherence to planning standards and governance.

Meet the team:

Our Planning team sits at the centre of Dexcom's manufacturing operations in Athenry, translating customer demand into executable production plans that ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Engineering and Global Supply Chain teams, we drive alignment across demand, capacity, inventory and supply to support operational excellence and the continued growth of Dexcom's European manufacturing operations.

Where you come in:

As the Planning Manager you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring that manufacturing plans align with customer demand, available capacity, material availability and strategic business goals while supporting Dexcom's commitment to delivering life‑changing products to customers worldwide. This role will serve as the primary planning interface for S&OP, S&OE and Integrated Business Planning processes across the site

• Lead, coach and develop the Athenry Planning team to support current operations and future site growth.
• Own and govern the site Master Production Schedule (MPS) process.
• Ensure alignment between forecasted demand, supply capability, manufacturing capacity and inventory strategies.
• Lead development, consolidation, communication and execution of production and supply plans.
• Serve as the primary planning representative for site S&OP, S&OE and Integrated Business Planning activities.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Global Supply Chain teams.
• Establish and maintain finite and rough‑cut capacity planning processes to support operational decision making.
• Drive planning process maturity and ensure adherence to planning standards and governance requirements.
• Manage planning risks, identify constraints and develop mitigation plans to protect customer service and production commitments.
• Support new product introductions, site transfers, commercial launches and supply chain transformation initiatives.
• Lead inventory optimisation strategies across raw materials, WIP and finished goods while maintaining service objectives.
• Develop planning metrics and performance dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure ERP and planning system data integrity, planning parameter governance and schedule discipline.
• Lead escalation management regarding shortages, capacity constraints, demand changes and supply disruptions.
• Drive implementation of best‑in‑class planning methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline with 8‑12 years of industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
• Oracle Fusion Planning or Oracle Supply Planning experience.
• Experience implementing Integrated Business Planning processes.
• APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP or equivalent).
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Experience supporting manufacturing scale‑up or greenfield operations.
• Experience leading planning transformation initiatives

The annualised base salary for this position is from €85,170.00 to €110,220.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
