- A unique opportunity for an experienced, Planning and Infrastructure Consenting Lawyer to support AG Ireland in developing a focused planning and infrastructure consenting practice with the support of the wider international team and the Dublin Real Estate Practice.
- From the outset, this role offers high-level client contact and the chance to play a critical role in growing the practice through cultivating close relationships with both new and existing clients.

- Addleshaw Goddard's Planning and Infrastructure Consenting Team has lawyers across Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, and Manchester.
- The practice has a strong reputation in areas including: Real estate, Transport, Energy, and Corporate transactions, advising on planning, environmental due diligence, and related legal processes.
- The team is collegiate, ambitious, and focused on delivering quality service with an innovative approach, supported by the wider Addleshaw Goddard Group. The practice aims to position itself competitively in Ireland within 3–5 years.
What to expect in this role
- Seeking an established Planning and Infrastructure Consenting Managing Associate/Legal Director to work from Dublin.
- The candidate should be able to work independently and support junior team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on regulatory consents and processes under Irish law.
- Reviewing Environmental Impact Assessments and Natural Impact Statements.
- Conducting planning and environmental due diligence for M&A projects.
- Analyzing planning permissions and liaising on compliance issues.
- Advising on judicial review processes and prosecutions related to planning and environment.
- Providing general planning and environmental legal advice.
- Expanding knowledge in response to evolving market and client demands.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent academic achievement
- At least 6 years of Planning/Infrastructure Consenting experience at an appropriate level
- Understanding of the operation of a leading law firm and client needs
Background:
- 6+ PQE with knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Interest in developing expertise in Planning and Infrastructure Consenting law.
- Experience supervising junior team members and managing own workload.
- A proactive approach to business development and client relationship building.
