Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualification in Pharmacy Technician Studies, Pharmaceutical Technology, Dispensing Technician Studies, or related discipline.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy dispensary environment.
• Attention to detail and dispensing accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Competent computer skills and experience with pharmacy dispensing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, dispensing, and labelling of prescription medicines under pharmacist supervision.
• Process prescriptions accurately and maintain pharmacy records.
• Operate pharmacy dispensing software and point-of-sale systems.
• Support stock control activities, including ordering, receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and expiry date monitoring.
• Assist with pharmacy claims processing and related administration.
• Provide professional customer service and respond to customer enquiries.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant dispensary environment.
• Support pharmacy healthcare services and health promotion initiatives.
• Liaise effectively with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, suppliers, and colleagues.
