Job summary

SGS Ireland is seeking an experienced QC Analyst to join its Scientific In-sourcing team. The role focuses on testing pharmaceutical substances in a GMP environment, notably GC and HPLC analyses, with other analytical techniques as required.

You will train peers, ensure compliance with procedures, and maintain calibration, records, and safe lab practices. Ideal candidates hold a Chemistry degree, have at least 2 years GMP lab experience, and are proficient with LIMS and Trackwise.

Qualifications

• Science Degree in Chemistry or equivalent (Level 7 minimum).
• 2 years experience in a GMP laboratory.
• Data Integrity and sound knowledge of analytical technologies (HPLC, GC, KF, IR, PSD, Xray, Wet chemistry).
• Team player with strong customer service mentality.
• Aptitude in lab computer systems, including LIMS and Trackwise.

Responsibilities

• Receive training from SGS and client and get trained in relevant analytical techniques.
• Train other analysts where appropriately qualified.
• Carry out testing in accordance to the valid testing procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is well maintained and calibrations are carried out at designated frequencies.
• Maintain laboratory records and ensure data entry to LIMS is accurate.
• Lead laboratory investigations and deviations if required.
• Work to maintain a safe, audit-ready laboratory environment.
