Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced QC Lead Analyst to join our Scientific In-sourcing team in Ireland. You will lead a client-based team of QC analysts, ensure two-way communication, and oversee training and development.

The role involves hands-on testing of pharmaceutical substances in a GMP environment, leading method optimisation, driving improvements, and supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent NFQ Level 7.
• Minimum five years’ experience in analytical testing (HPLC, GC, UV, dissolution).
• Familiar with GMP and analytical technologies.
• Proven leadership and influence in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-based QC analyst team to meet requirements.
• Oversee execution of operating plan for productivity.
• Ensure testing is completed on time and to specification.
• Optimise KPI reporting for quality, safety and productivity.
• Support audits and maintain GMP documentation.
• Mentor and train analysts, enable cross-training.
• Review and verify data generated; maintain lab facilities.
• Ensure safe working environment and continuous improvements.
