Job summary

Hanley Calibration Ltd. seeks a site-based Calibration Technician in Dublin to perform routine calibration and repair of process control equipment across manufacturing, utilities, and analytical labs.

The role reports to the Calibration Manager and requires strong GMP experience. Key tasks include calibrating process and analytical instruments, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring all work adheres to cGMP procedures.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of instrumentation calibration experience, preferably in pharma/GMP environments.
• Strong GMP knowledge and ability to work in a regulated facility.
• Ability to read loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&IDs, and I/O wiring.
• Proficient computer literacy and documentation skills.
• Willingness to perform site-based calibration tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations for process, utility and analytical lab equipment and systems as part of the calibration team.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control systems on site.
• Ensure work complies with cGMP procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate calibration documentation and records.
• Coordinate work with maintenance and operations to minimise production impact.
• Identify and implement improvements to instrumentation and metrology processes.

Overview

A site-based role, reporting to the Calibration Manager, this position is responsible for performing routine calibration, repair & troubleshooting, where necessary on all process control systems and equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, warehouse and analytical labs throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations for process, utility and analytical lab equipment and systems related to instruments and control systems with calibration team structure as generated via CMMS.
• Troubleshoot and repair site instrumentation and control and monitoring system issues
• Ensure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with applicable cGMP procedures
• Ensure that instrumentation and calibration documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with applicable cGMP procedures
• Execution of work according to plan and schedule ensuring coordination of work with maintenance and operations staff to minimize impact to production activities
• Recommend and implement improvement ideas to enhance the instrumentation and metrology functions and other business processes.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• 6+ years of combined education, training, and experience in instrumentation calibration measurement and control preferably in Pharmaceutical Industry
• Knowledge and experience working in a GMP regulated facility.
• Ability to interpret loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID's, I/O wiring and panel drawings
• Computer literate
• Any other tasks/projects assigned as per manager’s request.
