Job summary

Myn in Galway is seeking an experienced Development Chemist for a laboratory-focused role within our R&D team. The position involves hands-on formulation and analytical development work to progress products through development, with strong emphasis on data integrity and regulatory documentation.

You will design and execute development studies, develop analytical methods (HPLC, GC, UV, dissolution), and support stability testing and tech transfer to manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Laboratory-based development experience in pharma/biopharma R&D.
  • Practical experience with analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV, dissolution).
  • Strong GMP/GLP understanding and data integrity principles.
  • Availability to start within short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute formulation and/or analytical development studies.
  • Develop, optimise, and where required validate analytical test methods (ICH guidelines).
  • Set up, conduct, and monitor stability studies.
  • Accurately record experimental work and results in notebooks/ELN with good documentation practice.
  • Prepare technical reports and data packages to support regulatory submissions and tech transfer.
  • Support technology transfer of developed formulations/methods to manufacturing or QC.
  • Troubleshoot issues arising during development with sound scientific reasoning.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration status.
  • Collaborate with Process Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to meet timelines.
  • Adhere to health & safety and GMP/GLP requirements.
