Job summary

Petmania Athlone is hiring part-time Sales Associates to join our retail team. The ideal candidate loves retail and helping customers; QQI level 5/6 Animal Care is a plus. We have 24-32 hr, 16 hr and 6-8 hr contracts, with more hours possible and midweek as well as weekends.

You will sell, use product knowledge to advise customers, provide excellent care in-store and in our grooming studios, and handle merchandising, housekeeping, price checks and stock deliveries.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and passion for sales.
• Advantage if studying or qualified in Animal Care (QQI 5/6).
• Ability to work midweek and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Sell products and help customers choose the right items for their pets.
• Use product knowledge to advise customers.
• Provide excellent customer care in-store and in grooming studios.
• Merchandise, keep store clean and organized, check prices and stock.
• Manage deliveries and stock replenishment.

Petmania are currently recruiting for a number of part time Sales Associates for our Athlone store. The ideal candidates will be passionate about retail and sales and be willing and eager to make their mark in the store. In addition to this it is an advantage if you are currently studying or recently qualified in Animal Care to QQI level 5 or 6.

We currently have one 24-32 hr key holder contract, one 16 hour contract and one 6-8 hour contract available however we envisage that more hours will be available each week-please note you must be available mid week as well as weekends

The main tasks you will be responsible for are;

• Sales, sales, sales-we are retailers after all!
• Using the product knowledge we will give you to help customers make the right choices for their pets
• Providing excellent customer care to our valued customers, both in the store and grooming studios
• General retail duties-merchandising, store housekeeping, price and gap checks etc
• Stock management-deliveries and merchandising
