Job summary

RecruitNet in Ireland seeks an experienced Perioperative Nurse (Anaesthesia) to provide safe, evidence-based care for adult and paediatric patients undergoing anaesthesia. You will support preparation, induction, maintenance and emergence, manage airways, monitor patients and maintain accurate records in line with NMBI standards.

• Postgraduate qualification in Anaesthetic Nursing or Paediatric Nursing desirable.
• Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Experience in perioperative clinical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care for adults and paediatric patients.
• Assist anaesthetist with preparation, induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia.
• Prepare and maintain anaesthetic equipment, medications and supplies.
• Monitor patients and escalate concerns promptly using approved tools.
• Collaborate with theatre, surgical teams and recovery staff for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement.
