Qualifications

• NMBI Registration as a General Nurse.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of one year post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Management course desirable.
• Proven clinical competence and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates motivation and commitment to the role.
• Clear and professional communication; concise information delivery.
• Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
• Flexible approach to rotations, night duty, and theatre on-call.
• Recent and relevant experience in the specialised area within an acute setting.
• Awareness of current developments and best practices in the specialty.
• Understanding of national nursing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work within the multidisciplinary team to support quality patient care.
• Manage time and resources to deliver safe, evidence-based care per guidelines.
• Support Clinical Coordinator and department operations as required.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and adherence to internal controls; participate in surveys.
• Assess patients, develop care plans, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Promote infection control and a safe clinical environment.
• Maintain relationships with colleagues, physicians, patients, and families; contribute to problem-solving.
• Provide cross-cover within the department (including PACU) and assist colleagues.
• Participate in education, training, and preceptorship; engage in performance reviews.
• Remain flexible to meet service needs across departments.
