Job description

As a Patient Food Service Care Assistant within our team here at Mayo University Hospital, you will be helping us to deliver our catering services to those requiring the hospital's facilities. This is a very rewarding position for the right candidate, delivering meals and a positive and engaging service to patients. Our interactions contribute hugely to the experience of those using the hospital services, and we aim to improve each service user's day through our interactions.

Are you a friendly and motivated person who would like to join our catering team here at Mayo University Hospital? We are looking for energetic and focused people to join our team.

This job offers €13.62 per hour (rising after 12months) and full-time hours (35h). You must be available to work 5 over 7 days a week including weekends. You must be available to work full time hours from September.

You must have:

  • A Strong background in hospitality or catering is preferred
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP preferred
  • A problem-solving mind and solutions-orientated approach with a flexible can-do attitude
  • Garda Vetting is a requirement for this role
