Job summary

Smiles Dental Care is seeking a proactive Receptionist/Treatment Coordinator to join our patient-focused team. The role supports patients through their dental journey with reception duties, treatment coordination, and payment processes in a busy practice.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year working in a dental practice.
  • Excellent communication and patient-facing skills.

37 Hours Available, Clinical Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurday & Saturday

Are you an organised, friendly, and professional individual with experience working in a dental reception environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Due to continued expansion at Smiles Dental Care, we are recruiting a Receptionist/Treatment Coordinator to join our friendly and patient-focused practice.

About Us

Smiles Dental Care is part of a well-established dental group with 100+ surgeries across 35 practices throughout Northern Ireland and the North West of England. We offer a full range of treatments, including general dentistry, NHS services, aligners, implants, restorative dentistry, and cosmetic treatments.

The Role

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting patients throughout their dental journey and thrives in a busy, team-focused environment.

  • Full-time or Part-time hours available
  • Working hours between 8:00am and 7:00pm
  • Clinical days Monday to Saturday
  • Final working arrangements will be discussed at the interview stage
Key Responsibilities
Appointment & Reception Management
  • Greeting patients and providing a professional, welcoming experience
  • Booking and managing appointments, and supporting daily reception duties
Administration & Record Keeping
  • Managing patient records accurately
  • Responding to phone, email, and in-person enquiries
  • Ensuring smooth day-to-day practice operations
Treatment Coordination
  • Supporting patients through treatment consultations
  • Explaining treatment options, costs, and processes clearly
  • Assisting with payment plans and finance applications
Financial Processes
  • Assisting with deposits, private treatment payments, and finance systems
Practice Support
  • Supporting marketing activities, promotions, and open days
  • Working closely with the clinical and administrative teams
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year working in a dental practice
(Dental Nursing Experience Is a Bonus But Not Essential)
  • Communication Skills: Confident, approachable, and patient-focused
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using dental or medical software systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge: Understanding of implants, cosmetic dentistry, and aligners is desirable
  • Team Approach: Positive, reliable, and committed to delivering an excellent patient experience
