Job summary

UPMC Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny is seeking an Access to Care Advisor to streamline all Access to Care functions and present a professional image to patients, staff and visitors.

You will manage admissions in Radiology, handle multiple systems, cash handling, insurance forms, referrals, post and mail, calls, and coordinate weekly X-ray clinics while maintaining high patient service standards.

Qualifications

• Strong MS Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to adapt to new operational systems/software
• Excellent numerical and organizational skills with high accuracy
• Ability to use own initiative and contribute effectively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Admit all patients in Radiology
• Manage cash handling and end-of-day balancing
• Follow up on insurance forms with Claimsure where applicable
• Liaise with Claims team to follow up unsigned forms
• Manage referrals via Healthlink, email and post; upload and vet referrals
• Monitor AGFA (RIS) referrals and coordinate information with GP surgeries
• Schedule weekly X-ray clinics and liaise with medical secretaries
• Monitor radiology stock levels and submit stationery orders
• Manage post and mailbox, phone lines and voicemails
• Maintain excellent working relations with hospital multidisciplinary team
