Job summary

APCOA Parking UK in Dublin is seeking reliable Part-Time Traffic Controllers to join Dublin Parking Mobility Services (DPMS). This role offers 20 hours per week over two 10-hour shifts with two weeks of full training and ongoing support.

You will patrol areas, issue Fixed Charge Notices, and clamp/release vehicles according to procedures. Applicants should be dependable, professional, and comfortable engaging with the public.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The confidence to deal with members of the public.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
• Basic confidence using smartphones or handheld devices.
• A full, clean driving licence with at least five years' driving experience.
• The flexibility to work the agreed part-time shift pattern.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling designated areas and monitoring parking compliance.
• Identifying parking offences and taking appropriate enforcement action.
• Issuing Fixed Charge Notices where required.
• Carrying out vehicle clamping and clamp-release procedures in accordance with approved processes.
• Using handheld devices to record activity and capture photographic evidence.
• Providing clear and professional information to motorists about parking restrictions and enforcement decisions.
• Responding calmly and professionally to questions, complaints and challenging situations.
• Reporting incidents or unusual circumstances to your supervisor.
