Job summary

The Rehab Group in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Student Support Worker on a fixed term, part-time contract (30 hours per week). You will provide individualized supports to participants with additional support needs during training or work experience, and assist with personal care and safe practices.

QQI Level 5 Health Care or Social Care and QQI Level 5 Special Needs Assisting or equivalent are required. We offer a range of benefits and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Health Care or Social Care qualification.
• QQI Level 5 Special Needs Assisting or equivalent.
• Experience of dealing with persons with additional support needs.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist persons to participate in training or work experience.
• Assist persons with physical disabilities in using assistive technology and materials.
• Maintain health and safety standards and report concerns to the Manager.
• Provide personal care and assist with medication in line with policy.
