Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is hiring a Store Assistant on a part-time basis in Ireland. The role runs from about 6:30am to 3pm and includes Dalata Academy training to build essential purchasing and hospitality skills.

You will manage food, beverage, cleaning supplies and disposables storage, own the purchasing process, and work with suppliers to secure quality, price and delivery terms. Hotel experience and purchasing know-how are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the storage and requisitioning of all food and beverage items, ensuring adherence to par stock levels.
• Accept all deliveries, check for damage, and ensure compliance with HACCP regulations.
• Store all deliveries properly, including perishable food items, implementing a first-in, first-out rotation system.
• Handle the storage and requisitioning of all cleaning chemicals, stationery items, and disposables, maintaining appropriate par stock levels.
• Take full ownership of the purchasing process, from processing orders to verifying deliveries upon arrival.
• Source, select, and negotiate optimal purchasing packages based on quality, price, terms, delivery schedules, and services with suppliers.

We have a great opportunity for a Store Assistant role to join our team. This role requires availability from 6.30am to 3pm approximately.

You will receive training through our Dalata Academy to help you learn important skills. You will also meet experienced team members who can help you grow.
