Job summary

University College Dublin (UCD) invites applications for a part-time Research Assistant (0.8 FTE) in the BAMBI study within the School of Medicine. The role focuses on day-to-day coordination, informed consent, and high-quality data collection in the MMUH ED, with collaboration across the TBI research group and ED team.

Candidates should have a life sciences background, plus postgraduate clinical research qualifications and strong ICH-GCP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences; postgraduate qualification in clinical research, project management or public health preferred.
• 2+ years' experience in clinical research project management, ideally in Irish academic or hospital settings.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and research ethics; experience in data collection, reporting and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day BAMBI study activities in MMUH ED; work with ED team and TBI research group.
• Obtain informed consent, ensure high-quality data collection and sample handling coordination with MMUH lab.
• Support regulatory compliance, CTMS/REDCap data management, and contribute to reporting and dissemination.
