Job summary

Trinity Care (IRL) is seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our clinical team at Saint Doolaghs Park House, Dublin 17. You will deliver individual and group music therapy to support movement, communication, cognition, and emotional wellbeing for clients with neurological needs.

The role is part-time, 4 hours over two days per week, with at least one day Monday to Friday. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain detailed clinical records.

Qualifications

• High-level musical competence, vocal or instrumental.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and reflective practice skills.
• Clear commitment to ethical, person-centred, and evidence-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Care Planning.
• Carry out comprehensive clinical assessments with detailed documentation.
• Apply music-based interventions to support non-musical goals.
• One-to-One Music Therapy sessions tailored to therapeutic targets.
• Group-Based Music Therapy sessions (6–8 participants).
• Develop a supportive group environment and encourage participation.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration with health and social care professionals.
• Maintain clear clinical records and progress/outcome reports.
• Contribute to service development and resource planning.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and best-practice standards in Neurologic Music Therapy.
