Griffith College is seeking a part-time Lecturer for Material Science & Structural Mechanics in the Faculty of Design. The role focuses on guiding learners through material properties and structural design within interior architecture, delivering and updating module content, and supporting curriculum development.

The candidate will contribute to teaching excellence and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal applicant holds a Level 9 qualification in a relevant discipline, with proven teaching

Qualifications

• Level 9 qualification or equivalent in Architecture/ Structural Engineering/ Interior Architecture or a cognate discipline.
• Proven teaching excellence and ability to support curriculum development.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relations and to work collaboratively.

• Membership of a Professional body is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and produce learning and teaching material and deliver the module.
• Deliver the module in line with College policy and procedures.
• Contribute to activities influencing leading edge practice and undertake research activity.
• Arrange student trips and site visits as appropriate.
• Foster positive, flexible collaboration with colleagues and support curriculum development.
