Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Delivery and Assemble Driver role based in Dublin

The role involves safely collecting and delivering beds and related products from the showroom or warehouse to customers’ homes and care facilities, ensuring timely and professional service. The Delivery and Assemble Driver will assemble electric beds and accessories on-site, test functionality, and provide a clear, courteous explanation of basic product use to customers. Daily tasks include loading and unloading vehicles, completing delivery and service documentation, maintaining equipment and vehicles in good condition, and following health and safety guidelines. The role also involves representing Care to Comfort with a friendly, respectful manner, addressing customer questions, and supporting the wider team with logistics and occasional showroom or warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills, with a courteous and patient approach to working in customers’ homes and care settings.
• Basic mechanical or technical aptitude to assemble beds and related equipment safely and accurately, using hand tools and following instructions.
• Valid driving license with a safe driving record, and experience driving light commercial vehicles or similar for deliveries.
• Good physical fitness, with the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver beds and accessories, often in tight spaces and varied environments.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow schedules and routes.
• Attention to detail in completing delivery records, checking orders against documentation, and ensuring clean, tidy work areas after assembly.
• Understanding of basic health and safety practices, including manual handling and safe use of tools and equipment.
• Previous experience in delivery, furniture assembly, or a care-related environment is an advantage but not essential.
