Fresco is hiring a Part-time Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will handle accounts for multiple entities, from supplier invoices to payroll reconciliations, with key duties spanning payments, ledgers, accruals, and VAT/PAYE submissions.

The role emphasises accuracy, independence, and collaboration, with a hybrid/remote-friendly setup and growth opportunities within a fast‑growing kitchen tech company.

Qualifications

• Accounting technician qualification (minimum requirement)
• Relevant experience in a broad role in finance (preparing accounts to trial balance is a necessary requirement)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks preferable)
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
• Tech‑savvy with experience in platforms such as Expensify, NAVAN, and Employers of Record (e.g. Deel, Remote)

Responsibilities

• Input all purchases and match bank payments to invoice
• Review creditors ledger monthly and prepare monthly payment file
• Review all expenses across three companies, ensuring appropriate coding
• Prepare monthly salary file for the three group companies, ensuring appropriate journals posted – and control accounts reconciled
• Posting and reconciliation of bank statements
• Prepare monthly Accruals & Prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations including inter‑company balances
• PAYE & VAT submissions to Revenue
• Completion of other office tasks and administrative duties as required

Part-Time Bookkeeper

• Location: Ireland
• Hours: Part-time (2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursdays), 9:00am–5:30pm). Office attendance required one Thursday per month.
• Contract type: 12 month fixed term contract (FTC)
• Salary: Competitive salary pro-rated to 2 days per week
• Start date: Immediate availability

About the Role

We’re delighted to be recruiting a Part-time Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team.
