Job summary

Allianz Re Dublin dac, based in Dublin, seeks a part-qualified actuary to join the actuarial function. The role covers quarterly and annual reserving and Solvency II reporting, collaborating with finance and underwriting to value liabilities and ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will support QRT preparation, maintain documentation, and contribute to automation of reserving workflows to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified actuary with 2-5 years experience in an actuarial reserving or reporting role.
• Strong understanding of Solvency II framework, particularly Technical Provisions and MVBS.
• Experience with QRT preparation and submission to the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Strong Excel/SQL/Access skills, SAS and ResQ experience an advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work under time pressure to meet deadlines, while retaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team player within a global multi-cultural team environment.
• Advanced command of written and spoken English is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the quarterly calculation of reserves and Technical Provisions across various valuation bases (e.g. GAAP, Solvency II, IFRS 17).
• Preparation and validation of Solvency II QRTs.
• Develop and maintain documentation in line with changes in reserving approaches, emerging best practice and changing regulatory environment.
• Support the Head of Actuarial Function in the preparation of Actuarial Function deliverables and fulfilling reporting responsibilities covering Solvency II.
• Support automation and process improvement initiatives for production workflows across the future global reserving / Technical Provision process.
