A well-regarded professional services organisation in Dublin is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable functions. Our client is a well-regarded, professional services organisation who are seeking a Finance Professional to oversee and support a small team focused on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This is a hybrid role requiring a hands-on professional who can manage daily financial operations, contribute to month-end reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement in financial systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise AP and AR operations to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of monthly journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintain and enhance financial systems to support operational performance and reporting accuracy.
  • Review ledger entries and ensure alignment with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
  • Assist in preparing management accounts for associated entities.
  • Provide key support during external audits through the preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor internal financial controls and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and support interdepartmental coordination.
  • Mentor and guide finance team members, supporting professional development and ensuring high performance.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and workflows.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements for senior leadership.

Key Requirements

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar finance environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
  • Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SUN).
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
