Job summary
National Vehicle Distribution (NVD) is seeking a Panel Beater Apprentice to join our Rosslare workshop. You will learn high-quality repair techniques, perform cosmetic and light panel work, and gain hands-on experience with modern welding systems and repair technology.
Under supervision, you will develop skills in strip/refit, bumper repairs, dent pulling, and MIG/MAG welding while working toward manufacturer standards. A full, clean Class B driving licence is required.
Qualifications
- Education & interest in automotive industry; desire to learn body repair techniques.
- Basic knowledge or experience in panel repairs, strip/refit, or welding is advantageous.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude are important.
- Tech-savviness and willingness to adopt new repair technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle strip and refit procedures.
- Carry out cosmetic repairs and panel preparation for paint/primer.
- Learn heavy panel repairs, panel replacements and filler finishing.
- Operate specialist equipment for dent pulling, plastic repair and chassis alignment jig work.
- Perform MIG/MAG steel welding and spot welding (training provided).
