Job summary

Qualifications

• NMBI Registered General Nurse required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of one year post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Proven clinical competence and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates motivation and commitment to the role.
• Flexible approach to rotations, rostering, night duty and theatre on-call.
• Awareness of current developments and best practices in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team, supporting quality patient care through strong communication, leadership and clinical expertise.
• Manage time and resources efficiently while delivering safe, evidence-based care in line with NMBI guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and support the Clinical Coordinator and department operations.
• Ensure safe use of equipment, adequate supplies, adherence to internal controls and regulatory surveys.
• Assess patients, develop and implement care plans with accurate documentation.
• Promote a safe clinical environment following hospital policies and infection-control procedures.
• Maintain relationships with colleagues, physicians, patients and families, contributing to quality improvement.
• Provide cross-cover within the department and support collaborative decision-making.
• Maintain a professional portfolio and engage in training activities and performance reviews.
