Job summary

Paediatric Community Nursing is seeking licensed nurses to provide overnight one-to-one care in a young adult's family home in Churchtown, Dublin. The role involves staying with the patient five nights a week, following a fixed schedule from 9pm-9am or 8pm-8am, ensuring the family can sleep soundly.

You'll work with RNIDs or RGNs with intellectual disability experience, receiving full training in tracheostomy care, epilepsy management and PEG feeding, plus ongoing clinical supervision from the

Qualifications

• RNID or RGN with intellectual disability experience with active NMBI registration
• Experience with PEG feeding and seizure management is covered by training
• Comfortable working alone overnight in a family home
• Confident, calm and thorough with documentation and handover

Responsibilities

• One-to-one nursing for the same patient on every shift
• Know the patient’s routine and tells to pre-empt issues
• Be the reason the family can sleep through the night
• Maintain accurate documentation and handover to the nursing team
