Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is offering an Internship in Engineering Maintenance in Carlow, Ireland. You will help ensure reliability of technical systems, develop maintenance concepts, and support asset registration with SAP PM.

This fixed-term role provides hands-on exposure to maintenance planning and cross-department collaboration. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Maintenance Engineering, with GMP familiarity and strong English

Qualifications

• Eligible for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or Maintenance Engineering.
• Experience with maintenance concepts and GMP guidelines is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing maintenance objectives for technical systems.
• Develop maintenance plans, cost estimates, and spare parts lists.
• Enter maintenance plans into SAP PM and support asset registration.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Reliability teams across departments.
• Contribute to risk-based maintenance concepts and project alignment.
