Job summary

Abbott Ireland Diabetes Care Donegal is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to join the site in Donegal Town. The OHN delivers on-site health services, conducts pre-employment assessments, oversees medical surveillance, and works with the OH Physician, EHS Manager and HR to provide a first-class OH service.

You will drive wellness initiatives, advise leaders on OH priorities, develop training, and ensure compliance with Abbott and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with up-to-date NMBI registration.
• Recognised Occupational Health qualification.
• At least 2 years' experience in an Occupational Health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Occupational Health service including employee consultation, first aid and emergency treatment.
• Oversee medical surveillance program in line with Abbott and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support EHS projects to ensure legal compliance and business benefits.
• Advise employees on work-related issues and wellness initiatives.
• Develop and deliver OH training on topics such as industrial hygiene, ergonomics and biosafety.
