Job summary

Nazareth House Killorglin is a purpose-built care home supporting 39 residents in a scenic location near Killorglin, Co. Kerry. We are seeking a kind and caring Healthcare Assistant to join our team, helping residents maintain independence with holistic, person-centred care.

This full-time role is 39 hours per week on site, in a vibrant, multicultural environment. You will work under the Director of Nursing and develop skills within Nazareth Care Ireland.

Qualifications

• Have FETAC Level 5 and/or other relevant training.
• Experience caring for the elderly preferably in a residential setting.
• Person-centered approach to care planning.
• Demonstrate continual professional development.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care to each resident.
• Assist with intimate and personal care based on assessed needs.
• Assist with eating and drinking and promote a nutritious diet.
• Assist with mobilizing residents and diversional activities.
• Support nursing staff and report changes in residents’ condition.
• Maintain infection control and safety procedures.
