Job description

This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.

Job Description

Online Order Fulfilment Assistant. The successful Candidate will assist and train in the following:

  • Be trained how to Pick, pack, and prepare online orders for courier collection.
  • Will learn how to ensure all items are packed securely and labelled correctly to prevent damage or delivery errors.
  • Assist with processing orders through Shopify and POS systems, updating status as required.
  • Assist with stock control by reporting low or missing items to management.
  • Assist team with basic customer service queries via phone, email, or messaging (e.g. delivery updates, stock availability).
  • Learn how to Coordinate with warehouse and store staff to source stock for orders.
  • Process returns and exchanges in line with company policy.
  • Learn how to Maintain a clean, organised packing area and follow health & safety standards.
  • Support eCommerce team with general tasks such as uploading tracking numbers or updating product availability.
Role Description

This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
