Job summary

Brown Bag Films in Dublin seeks an Online Editor to finish, grade, and deliver episodes using DaVinci Resolve. You will collaborate with Production and Post teams to ensure top-quality output within timelines and budget constraints, conforming edits from Premiere XMLs and driving the delivery workflow.

The role requires advanced DaVinci Resolve proficiency and the ability to manage conform, grade, and delivery without external training.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years online, grading, and compositing experience in episodic television or 3D animation.

We are currently looking for an Online Editor to join our talented team here at our Dublin Studio. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality storytelling through the finishing, online editing, and grading of assigned episodes using DaVinci Resolve, ensuring creative excellence within agreed scope and timelines. Additionally, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with Production and Post Production teams, as well as Online Compositors and Unreal Operators, to ensure shots remain up to date and aligned throughout the online process.

This role requires advanced, production-level expertise in DaVinci Resolve, with the ability to independently manage conform, grade, and delivery workflows without training on the software itself.

This is a 10-month Fixed-Term contract based in our Dublin Studio, starting October 2026.

Please note that our studio operates on a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week required in the studio.

The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Production and Post Production teams to achieve the highest quality output within project timelines and budget constraints
• Conforming episodes from Adobe Premiere Xmls into DaVinci Resolve
• Working at an advanced level within DaVinci Resolve for grading, online finishing, versioning, and delivery
• Maintaining accurate tracking charts and completing post-production documentation as required using ShotGrid, Excel etc...
• Working closely with Post Productions Administrators, Online Compositors and Unreal Operators to ensure all shots are current and correctly integrated
• Completing compositing tasks in Fusion, including FX work and QC-driven clean-up fixes
• Performing grading and online finishing of episodes to delivery standards
• Leading Online Launch sessions, reviewing episodes with the Director and Art Director to identify fixes and define the final grading approach
• Managing Online Sign-off sessions, ensuring all notes are addressed and final approval is secured before QC handover
• Collaborating with CG and pipeline teams to support new workflows and maintain best practices
• Exporting, encoding, and delivering final outputs from DaVinci Resolve, including preparation of elements for subsequent production stages
• Ensuring all deliverables meet broadcaster technical specifications and delivery requirements, including preparation and validation of IMF (Interoperable Master Format) and/or Quicktime files.

Key Requirements

Knowledge

• Skilled in online finishing, grading compositing, effects.
• Knowledge of video technology, delivery specs and file formats.
• Ability to manage attended viewings.
• An understanding of online finishing & overall post workflows.

Experience

• 1-2 years online, grading, compositing experience in episodic television and/or 3D animated productions.
• Track record of working effectively with all levels of production crew, artistic staff and management.

Technical Skills

• Online editing and mastering in DaVinci Resolve is essential, Experience in Shotgrid a bonus. Experience in HDR workflows a bonus.
