Job summary

Blackrock Clinic is seeking an Enhanced Staff Nurse to join the Oncology team in the Florence Nightingale Unit. You will provide evidence-based nursing care to Oncology and Palliative patients and participate in a patient-centred care plan.

The role requires Full NMBI registration, 1+ year acute hospital experience, and willingness to rotate units. Onsite chemotherapy administration and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Full Registration in the General division of the NMBI is required.
• Post-registration oncology qualifications desirable; training available onsite.
• BLS certification current or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled oncology and palliative care nursing with patient-centred focus.
• Administer chemotherapy per local policy with safety as priority.
• Rotate between inpatient unit and oncology day unit as needed.
• Supervise less experienced staff and student nurses.
• Support coordination of oncology outpatient clinic activities.
• Contribute to holistic care for oncology and palliative patients and families.
• Adhere to NMBI codes and Blackrock Clinic policies.

Education

Full registration in the General division of the Register of Nurses (NMBI)

Higher Diploma or Post Grad Oncology course desirable
