Job summary

AZOROM Limited is seeking an Offshore Cables Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design of offshore export and inter-array cables for wind farm projects. The role involves tendering support, design reviews, and coordination with suppliers and technical advisors to ensure safe, on-budget delivery.

The candidate will contribute to the technical and commercial evaluation of submarine cable systems, coordinate cross-package interfaces and support site investigations, FATs and commissioning

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience with cable electrical system design and related testing (Design Intent Documents, PQ testing, FATs).
• Experience in technical and commercial evaluation of submarine cable systems.
• Experienced in subsea cable and accessory design and supplier coordination.
• Proficient in SHEQ standards for offshore projects and energy sector.
• Familiar with CDMC/IMO/IMCA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor cable electrical system designs against Employer's Requirements.
• Coordinate tendering phase activities and respond to clarifications.
• Ensure cross-package interfacing and manage cables inputs/outputs.
• Prepare technical docs and specifications for internal/contractor use.
• Attend meetings with contractor representatives through FEED and execution phases.
• Provide cable engineering input to ensure wind farm electrical concept compliance.
• Review offshore site data and discuss thermal/electrical resistivities with project team.
• Support costings and engineering decision logs for cables.
• Assist package managers in contract execution and reporting.
