Job summary

Enable Ireland in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team.

You will deliver occupational therapy services for children aged 0–18 and their families across clinics, preschools, schools and community settings. The role requires CORU registration, at least 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the CORU Occupational Therapists Register.
• Have 3 years full-time post-qualification clinical experience.
• Hold a valid full driving licence and have access to transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of Occupational Therapy services for young people (0–18) and families.
• Deliver services in clinic, preschools, schools, homes and community settings.
• Include assessment, intervention, supervision and service development within an interdisciplinary framework.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Enable Ireland Children’s Disability Network Team, Nenagh, Co Tipperary

Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent Contract

Salary Scale: €63,313 to €74,947 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 Days per annum pro rata

Overview of the Post:

Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Occupational Therapy services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

The successful candidate will have

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.

And

• Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience

And

• Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
• Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
• On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
• Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland
• Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Students and/or Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Have a valid full driving licence and access to own transport.
• Minimum 2 years post Qualification experience working with families and children with a range of disabilities/developmental delays including Autism.
• Experience of working within the PDS Framework.
• Experience of interdisciplinary team working
• Experience of supervising students/therapy assistants/support staff or Experience and/or training in clinical supervision.
• Experience of complex postural management experience
