A public sector organization is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Level 1 to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with health colleagues to provide support for adults with care needs, enabling them to live independently in the community. About the role
This is a really exciting time to join the Occupational Therapy Service in Lincolnshire Adult Care.We began a programme of transformation in November 2019 that has already seen a number of significant changes including:-integration andcollaborativeworking with health colleagues, projects around single handed care, review of all documentation and strategies to reduce waiting lists.
Next on our to do list is:
-Collaborationwith District councils and a management restructure leading to increased development opportunities for all staff.
- Establishment of 3 OT teams across the county aligned to the district council boundaries.
- Establishment of a structure of working groups and projects to inform and drive change from 'the ground up'.
- Development of peersupportgroups and a training and education programme for our workforce.
Responsible for providing statutory professional Occupational Therapy as part of a teamsupporting adults with care and support needs to live independently in the community throughprovision of advice, retraining, equipment and alterations to their lived environment. You willdemonstrate a commitment to strengths based practice and skills in supporting people to identifyand build support networks to achieve their identified outcomes and maximise theirindependence, providing advice and support to carers.This work is done in close collaboration with other specialist colleagues and agencies. Anyactivity will reflect service users personal, social, cultural and economic needs and will relate toenvironmental factors that govern their lifestyle. You will be expected to work with autonomymanaging a case load and demonstrate a multi-agency approach integrating your practice withcolleagues across the health and care sector. Work may include travel outside the county.

Manage a varied caseload with supervision and advice from the Lead Practitioner at alevel of complexity appropriate to the post holder's experience, and professional capabilityand be accountable for their professional practice.
